Hi. Recently our company had moved to proxy authorization to access web sites. For this reason, Google Translate service stopped working. While investigating this issue, our programmers had found that OmegaT didn't allow to specify proxy login and password, just proxy-server address and port.
Our programmers have found the way how to bypass this limitation. Briefly, they've added new menu item that opens a small dialog box, where user can enter his login and password to authorize under corporate proxy-server. Changes were made for version 2.2.1 source-codes. I've attached the text file, that contains only changes with comments. The interface of new dialog box is rather primitive, so it may be stylized somehow.
It would be great, if you will include this feature in subsequent OmegaT builds.
Changes in source code with comments
Thank you for the code, we'll check it.
I don't think it can be used "as is", because it seems the use of a proxy (with password) has been hard-coded in he post method (in WikiGet.java).
You write:
"OmegaT didn't allow to specify proxy login and password, just proxy-server address and port."
It's true that, by default (and only for the Windows version) only server address and port are commented in the configuration file. But any Java parameter can be added there.
Have you tried specifying
-Dhttp.proxyUser=someUserName
-Dhttp.proxyPassword=somePassword
?
If not, can you try it?
Didier
Thanks for jour response and suggestion. Unfortunately, -Dhttp.proxyUser and -Dhttp.proxyPassword=somePassword don't work when I specify values for them in configuration ini file. May be this is due to we connect to our proxy by specifying login as domain\login.
Implemented in SVN (/trunk).
The user and password are not stored as plain text, but base64 encoded.
While this is a simple encoding, it still prevents from casual browsing of user and password in the preference file.
@aknyazev
It would be great if you could check whether /trunk is working for you.

This feature was implemented in the released version 2.2.3 of OmegaT.
