New Students
Welcome to John Muir College!
This page is intended for students who have been admitted to UC San Diego and submitted their Statements of Intent to Register (SIR).
Freshmen: Visit newstudent.ucsd.edu NOW to sign up for a freshman Orientation session. We offer 3, 2-day programs in June that allow students the opportunity to meet with an academic advisor individually to discuss courses for the Fall quarter as well as meet several College staff members and Muir students. For students who are unable to attend the June Orientation program we offer two condensed 1-day programs in September prior to Welcome Week. Sessions fill up quickly so sign up now! Please note the deadline is Friday, June 4th.
Transfers: In early June you will receive a postcard inviting you to sign up for an orientation session. Orientation will take place in early July. While orientation is not required it is strongly recommended to have your important questions answered in person. Students will receive academic advising in August and enroll in Fall Quarter classes later that month.
Check back for more information beginning May, 2010.
Muir's 2009-2010 Learning and Living Handbook is now online.
