For 2010-2011, UCSD's priority deadline for filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) is Tuesday, March 2, 2010. You can complete the FAFSA online. Remember, you can use estimates if you haven't received your W-2s or completed your tax return. For help, use the online FAFSA worksheet or see instructions from the Financial Aid Office. The Continuing Undergraduate Scholarship Application is available. Read the Continuing Undergraduate Scholarship Application Guidelines (PDF) for the list of scholarships and criteria. Awards range from $500 to $5,000; last year, more than 500 scholarships were awarded. If you have questions, e-mail the scholarship office or call (858) 534-1067. Read a new letter from UC President Mark Yudof offering an update to students and parents on fees and financial aid (PDF). Good news for veterans! Vets may now apply for the new Post-9/11 GI Bill.... and effective July 1, 2009, federal veterans educational benefits are no longer considered as a resource when determining your financial aid package.
