Transcript Notation

Upon completion of your Academic Internship, your transcript will read as follows: Academic Internship 197. The Transcript Notation field is located at the very top of your Program Evaluation. You can add a maximum of five words to this notation in order to describe your internship in more detail.

When considering what you would like to include as your transcript notation, please keep the following concerns in mind:

  • What do you want future potential employers or graduate schools to see?
  • What do you want to highlight: the work you performed or the agency for which you worked?
  • In some cases just stating the agency’s name is sufficient information to describe your internship.

Examples:

  • Production Assistant on documentary
  • International Marketing Assistant
  • Criminal Law Intern: Private Practice
  • Internship at Senator Boxer’s Office
  • Museum of Contemporary Art, LJ
  • UCSD Medical: Thornton Hospital Radiology
  • PR Intern - Hotel Del Coronado
  • Case-manager: Occupational Training Services
  • Speech, Hearing, Neuroscience Intern
  • Assistant at Dykstra Literary Agency
  • A&R Assistant at Virgin Records
  • Alternate Public Defender - Investigative Intern
  • ESPN X - Games Media Coordinator
