Transfer Student Housing: The Village at Torrey Pines

Welcome to The Village at Torrey Pines, the first on-campus Housing for transfer students.

The Village is a live • play • eat community of apartments and retail spaces designed especially for transfer students. The neighborhood includes a 14-story high rise building of resident apartment homes, featuring modern amenities and a sleek design aesthetic. They’re affordable, in a great location—many even have breathtaking ocean views!

Double room rates for the 2009/2010 academic year (including a Dining plan) range from $1270-$1395 per person per month.

Want to see The Village? Tours are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm. No appointment needed - just drop by the Receptionist desk, located in building 2. We’re happy to show you around!

Attention New, Incoming Transfer Students!

Make sure you indicate that you’re interested in housing when you submit your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR), on June 1st.

Starting June 3rd, students who indicated interest in housing will receive an email with information regarding the easy online housing application process. Be sure to check your UC San Diego email address often. Feel free to call or email us with any questions. Talk to you soon!

NACURH Winners

Congratulations The Village resident Laurie Simchoni and other student leaders who received accolades at the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) regional conference on February 13.

UCSD had four nominations accepted for consideration for awards at the conference, and we were fortunate to win all four awards in the categories where we had nominations.

Lauri Simchoni received the First Year Experience Award. She is a Roosevelt transfer student and currently serves as the Inter College Resident’s Association (ICRA) Vice President for Publicity, representing The Village.

Trish Tran received the President of the Year award. Trish is a Revelle student who serves as the ICRA President.

J.R. Guzman received the Student of the Year award. J.R. is a Muir student and HA who serves as the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) Chair. This award is considered to be the highest honor that the PACURH region can bestow on an individual for their contributions to their school and the NACURH organization for service during a year.
