Transfer Student Housing: The Village at Torrey Pines

Welcome to The Village at Torrey Pines, the first on-campus Housing for transfer students.

The Village is a live • play • eat community of apartments and retail spaces designed especially for transfer students. The neighborhood consists of eight buildings, one of which is a 14-story high rise with incredible ocean views. All of our resident apartment homes feature modern amenities and a sleek design aesthetic. The best part? They're affordable, and in a prime location—right on campus!

Rates for the 2010/2011 Academic Year:

• Double rooms: $9,667 - $10,774
• Single rooms: $10,322 - $11,385

* All rooms come with a Dining Plan.

Incoming 2010-11 Transfer students who contract to live at The Village will be GUARANTEED a second year of Housing at The Village (2011-12). The contract will open in mid-June and contracts will be offered on a rolling basis, based on the completed contract and pre-payment.

LiveWell Award

Congratulations to The Village, recipient of a LiveWell Award from the UCSD Office of Student Wellness! The award is given to those who promote the well being of students—intellectually, physically, emotionally, and environmentally. The Village earned their recognition thanks to the numerous kayaking trips, hiking trips, and eating healthy programs they offer, as well as organized walks, yoga lessons, and more. On behalf of The Village, Kevin Johnston will be accepting a plaque and gift card at the Student Wellness Reception on Tuesday, June 1 at 5:30pm in the PC East Forum.

Attention NEW Transfer Students!

If you have already applied for housing at the Village by June 1st, this message applies to you. PLEASE NOTE: A detailed instructional email will be sent to your UC San Diego email address on June 7th with a link to complete the Housing Contract Process (the 4-Step Process); One of the steps in this Housing Contract process is a $650 prepayment. Please be prepared to make this payment in order to complete the 4 Step Housing Contract Process; contracts are not considered complete without this prepayment and you will not be able to select a space without it.

In order to ensure that you receive the Housing Contract email, please make sure you activate your UC SAN DIEGO email account immediately. All official University business is conducted through your UC San Diego email account. If you have not yet activated your UC San Diego email account, please do so now: go to UCSD Email Account Activation. Remember, the next e-mail will be sent only to your UC San Diego email account with a link and instructions on completing the Housing Contract process mentioned above.
