Access
Who Gets Access?
FacilitiesLink is an internal business tool for use by persons employed by or having a contractual relationship with the University of California, San Diego. Typically this includes UCSD staff who are facilities professionals, campus and department administrators or staff whose job responsibilities or interests fall beneath FacilitiesLink's scope of information.
Non-UCSD personnel eligible for access usually consist of planning, design, or construction consultants in
the planning, architecture, or engineering fields. They usually have an existing contractual relationship with UCSD's Facilities Design and Construction(FD&C;), UCSD's Physical Planning, and/or UCSD's Auxiliary and Plant Services (Facilities Management).
Single Account per User
Group access is discouraged. Please do not share your credentials with coworkers or other people.
It makes it harder for us to pass on critical knowledge about FacilitiesLink to our users.
Access Procedure
Apply for access. Once we have recieved your application, we will get back to you as workload permits. We need to contact you prior to activating your account to pass on the correct cache settings for your browser, and provide tips and insight on how to best use FacilitiesLink for your needs. (In the case of non-UCSD access requests, we also
need to verify your contractual relationship to UCSD and determine your anticipated account duration prior to activating your account.)
Once we've had a chance to speak with you, adjust your browser cache options, and activate your account, you may login to FacilitiesLink.
Account Duration
UCSD staff has access eligibility for the length of employment. Architects, planners, engineers, construction professionals and other consultants have time-expired accounts for a duration to be determined by the supervising FD&C; or FM project manager. When necessary, access may be easily extended.
All other accounts will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
