1967 Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2

High mileage is generally the kiss of death for any exotic car. These aren’t Toyota’s and Honda’s after all, but well tuned, road burning super cars. Back in the day though people treated these cars differently. You see not only did they drive them, but they drove them hard and they drove them often. On this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, Big Jay drives a 1967 Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 with a whopping a 250,000 miles on the clock. Click through to check it out.

80′s Ultra Cheese: White Lion – Radar Love

White Lion Radar Love

Having not only lived through the 1980′s, but being in high school during that time gives me the unique right to comment on anything and everything hair band related. You see I’ve seen them all. Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Poison, Gun’s and Rose’s and even these guys, White Lion. Now back in the day it was totally acceptable for guys in hair bands to have well… big hair. The best part about the whole ordeal though were the music videos on MTV. Sure they were cheesy, but every now and again you’d find a diamond in the ruff. Actually, that’s a lie… they all sucked, but this one from White Lion has a 1969 Shelby GT350 and a Lamborghini Countach so it can’t be all bad. Right?

2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 4Matic: RideLust Review

2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK350

Thumbs Up: Stylish, comfortable and solidly built.

Thumbs Down: Quirky controls, unreadable 160 mph speedometer.

Buy This Car If: You’re shopping for a compact luxury crossover with a just-right blend of size and amenities.

The romantic notion of the SUV is this: buy one, and you and your family will be taking trips through the jungles of South America, or perhaps spending weekends exploring ghost towns in the Colorado Rockies. The reality, however, seldom plays out that way, with most SUVs reserved for hauling the kids to and from soccer practice, retrieving groceries or picking up dry cleaning. In fact, the harshest conditions most ever encounter are snow-packed roads or gravel parking lots. Read More…

eBay Deal of the Week: 1973 Volvo 1800ES Estate

1973 Volvo 1800 ES

When introduced in 1961 the Volvo P1800 was somewhat of an oddity. You see up until then the Swedish car maker was known for making cars that were well, boring. I mean sure, they were one of the pioneers in automotive safety, but as for style – not so much. Then in 1961 the P1800 hit the streets and made everyone do a double take. Here was a car that not only looked good, but thanks to its peaky 130 hp inline-4 that was introduced in 1970, it was actually somewhat of a performer. Top speed was around 120 mph with 0-60 mph coming up in just under 10-seconds. This is an 1800ES, and is the last variant of the P1800 body line produced. It’s located in Sherman Oaks, CA and according to the owner is in fantastic working order. The A/C has been converted to R134 and blows cold, the engine runs properly and the 4-speed overdrive transmission shifts as it should. Ridelust Review: 2013 Nissan 370Z Touring

Posted in Car Reviews, Featured, General, Import, Import Review, Import Rides, Nissan, Nissan GT-R, Rides by MrAngry | September 17th, 2012 | 1 Response |

2013 Nissan 370Z Touring

PRO’s: Great chassis, interior and handling characteristics.

CON’s: High clutch pedal engagement, buzzy engine, road noise.

FINAL THOUGHT: A true drivers car that retains all the values and fun that made the original Datsun 240Z such a great car over 40 years ago.

It seems that in recent years the motoring public has forgotten that Nissan makes another sports car aside from the GT-R. It’s one that steeped with more than 40 years of history and truth be told, it’s the car that put Nissan (then Datsun) on the map here in the United States. The Nissan “Z” car, now in it’s sixth generation, has always been a competent sports car. During the 1970′s it changed the way America thought about Japanese performance machines. Cars from the 1980′s brought fourth machines that highlighted the cars technology. In the 1990′s we were introduced to some real performance by the way of twin-turbo’s and then during the early part of the new millennium, Nissan went back to its roots by developing a new Z car for a new generation of fans. This is a 2013 Nissan 370Z Touring that’s been equipped with just about every bell and whistle in Nissan’s arsenal and although it’s not perfect, it is one helluva fun car to flog around.

Supra Loses Brakes – Goes Flying

Toyota Supra Crash

There’s seldom a more frightening experience then hauling ass down a straightaway only to realize that you’ve got no brakes at the end. This has happened to me more than once and if anything will make you poop the old pants, this is it. While most drivers will never experience what it’s like to go fast, for those of us who race, there is no better feeling. Sometimes though, when you’re pushing a car to the limit, parts fail and when that happens the only thing you can do is hold on and go along for the ride.

2013 Audi RS5: Naturally Aspirational

2013 Audi RS5

This week on Ignition, Carlos Lago takes out Audi’s new for the U.S. RS5 Sport Coupe. Based on the successful Audi A5, the RS version is powered by a 4.2-liter V8 that makes 450 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. Power is put down by way of a 7-speed twin-clutch auto that can be shifted manually by way of some flappy paddles on the steering wheel. Keep in mind though that this car is no lightweight. In fact it tips the scales at over 4,000 lbs. thanks largely in part to its all-wheel drive system. Does all that girth mean that the RS5 is too fat to be fun, or does Audi do a great job of masking all that weight with its stellar electronics. Click through to find out.
