  1. I guess the best situation is where you can edit with the game running, and see changes immediately.

  2. For Sideways, we actually used SVG files with special object/layer names. Worked really well (very different game though).

  3. Yeah, means everything is snapped to the point grid and Photoshop works faster (smaller buffers etc).

  4. Stuff like 0.5pt inner shadow I usually do with a second vector layer. Means you can position it anywhere (0.2pt etc).

  5. I’ve only had the Retina MacBook Pro for a short while. My main Mac is a Mac Pro, so the MBP doesn’t get plugged into a display.

  6. I need to finish writing a doc on it… not sure if others would like the technique, but I’m so happy with it. So fast.

  7. I have tricks for most of those. I only ever set things up so my docs do 1× and 2× with an automated scale.

  8. I’m trying to write a new one now. It’s taking a while… so much info and I’m such a slow writer.

  9. I’d love Photoshop’s scrubby zoom to only land on 100% multiples, but the last thing we need is another option for zoom.

  10. Strangely, I still single click or use keyboard to zoom in Ps and Ai, because I like landing on whole 100% increments.

  11. You’d think I’d know that, but I’m still using Ai CS5! I wish I was using CS6 (long story, but I don’t have it yet).
