I don’t understand why Amazon gives you a delivery time option but delivers when they want to. Lately every time I have scheduled a time for delivery, it is either delivered hours later or a day late... See more

Poor delivery standards
Whilst the products purchased are generally of at least a reasonable quality, tha Amazon service is of a very poor standard, same day delivery constantly not carried out and then upto 4 extra days to eventually deliver with no explanation. Not able to write review on delivery standards on Amazon web sites just shows they know their standards are poor.

Amazon Promised a £67.08 Refund, Then Refused to Honour It
Title: Amazon repeatedly promised a refund, then refused to honour it
I purchased a laptop from Amazon UK for £962.44. Shortly afterwards, its price fell to £895.36.
When I attempted to reorder at the lower price and return my original purchase, Amazon's system blocked me with a purchase-limit error. This followed an account-security cancellation, despite Amazon informing me that I could continue shopping normally.
Customer Service assured me that the restriction had been escalated, but a subsequent supervisor could not verify this.
More concerningly, an Amazon representative explicitly promised that I could purchase the replacement for £895.36, receive an additional £67.08 refund after delivery, and return my original laptop separately.
I repeatedly checked the arrangement, and the representative confirmed it and said it had been recorded in my account notes. I have screenshots.
Subsequent representatives and a supervisor then refused to honour the commitment.
Amazon's written response simply recommended returning and repurchasing the laptop, without addressing the restriction preventing me from doing so.
My issue is not that Amazon changed its prices. It is that its representatives made repeated, specific assurances and then withdrew them, while leaving the original purchasing problem unresolved.
A deeply disappointing customer-service experience. I have escalated the matter formally and am awaiting a substantive resolution.
