The transition from AI as a feature to AI as the operational model is the strongest aspect. Independence allows SummitAI to concentrate on developing agentic IT operations rather than retrofitting them onto old ITSM, which might be a significant differentiator. Congrats JP(JayaPrasad) Vejendla! Carve-outs like this are the most underrated deals in tech IMO. A division that's healthy but non-core to its parent — real revenue, real team, real customers — and a seller who mostly wants it off their books rather than the highest possible price. Completely different negotiation than a competitive process. Most tech operators who want to become business owners either want to start from scratch, or look at something boring and unfamiliar like laundromats! Almost none of them realize they could buy the business they already understand.
