¿What can I do?

IsWindowsNT function does not exist

In the GetMACAddress function there is a conditional block of code at the beginning that check to see if IsWindowsNT is TRUE. There is no function called IsWindowsNT throughout the code, so this would always be FALSE. There are many places throughout the code checking for IsWindowsNT that code be failing due to always being FALSE.

I discovered this on an XP system that was failing to get the MAC address because it was getting an Error 430, "Object does not support automation". This was happening at the GetObject call to winmgmts later on in the GetMACAddress function. XP is a Windows-based OS, so it should have executed the code to get the MAC address from the If table.

There is a function IsWinNT4Plus that is also used throughout the code that looks like it's for the same purpose. Should the IsWindowsNT be replaced by IsWinNT4Plus?

LastUsed property may cause complication during DST

Release 2.0.6
It had been found that sometimes ALUGEN generates a
bad product keyset (GCode-VCode). The license key
generated by the GCode would fail verification using the
VCode. Consequently the user is never able to perform
registration.
------
If you generate a "periodic" licence liberation key and
you play around with the system date, the sample
application works with no problem.

Here is the test case:
1. Open ActiveLock2 Test App and go to Registration tab
2. Generate a request code and copy it into the Admin
tab
3. Select Licence Type: periodic 30 days
4. Apply the key to the registration tab (click on register)
5. Exit the application
6. Move the date forward 31 days
7. Open the application and you get "License expired"
message
8. Close the application and set the system date back
9. The application continue working without any problems
-----
I think the problem may be LastUsed is not updated
if "License expired" condition is met. Needs further
investigation.

UsedDays and LastRunDate

Hi,

My email address is jrporto@dgcom.com.br
I am registered at www.activelock.org as jrporto.

I downloaded the ActiveLock1884 file and I had a
problem with it.

The UsedDays counter is not working. I changed my
computer´s date but this counter always returns zero.

The LastRunDate property returns only a time string
("00:00:00"). It´s not returning the complete date.

Both controls were working fine on version 1.7

Thank you,

Jose Roberto
Generation = LockToWindowsSerial, it generates a
empty string. I traced this in the VB Debugger.

This is on Windows 2K platform. I think the registry key
values being looked up may be wrong:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\

SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Product
Key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\ProductKey

I think the second key should be:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\

SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Prod
uctId
