we are not much expirienced with Capi since we didn't
need to use ISDN-apps via LAN. Now we have to setup
a faxgateway on a NT-4-Server connected with an AVM-
ISDN-device (Fritz).

Installed CAPI 2.0 Proxy on the Server (192.168.202.1),
started Service and setup/config. a W2k-Client with no
problems... but whats next? Shouldn't there be a new
device present e.g. "Capi 2 Proxy", when setting up the
software that should use the Capi?

Just to find out and test, I've installed WinFax 10 but it's
device-setup-manager doesn't present any device other
than the build-in modem...

Hmm...

Rebooted - nothing better... Checked Device Manager,
Services... no Capi. So what am I doing or
understanding wrong?

Thanks much for your help,

Just the kind of
software I've been looking for. Hopefully this will be
a nice alternative to AVM's expensive Ken program.
Will it really work with Windows95? I would lke to try
it in a small home network with a Win95c machine with
ISDN card(server) and 2 Win98 clients.
My real question concerns installing the parts of the
software. The info on the homepage is pretty scant. I
understood most of it, but in the zip package for the
client there are 2 files: capi2032.exp and
capi2032.lib that aren't mentioned at all in the
instructions. What are they for and what am I supposed
to do with them? Do I copy them also in the
windows\system folder? Also I noticed that the
included .reg file does NOT start with the usual
REGEDIT4. Isn't that necessary? Instead it starts with
some strange characters I've never seem before.
Sorry for all the dumb newbie questions. Any help
would be appreciated. Once I get the installation all
sorted out I will try it out and let you know how it
works out. I've never tried anything like this yet.

Thank you all and keep up the great work.
I guess this belongs more properly here, sorry.
