I use Miranda 0.3.4 alpha and nsp 0.0.3.7 sr2.
My OS - WinXP SP1 Professional Russian.
Remote OSes - Win95, Win98SE, Win2000.
I can't send messages larger that 128 characters, but I
can receive them.
No notices, no crashes, remote computer simply does
not receive anything if the size of message sent is
greater then 128 chars.
Messages smaller then 128 chars NSP sends fine.
Is that bug or what?

Process crlf

Example message from plugin:

The message alias could not be found on the network.

work fine.

NSP register only my username in the network?
My OS: win2k.sp3
Miranda: 0.2.1.
latest stable version of Miranda.

After disabling the messenger service (i'm running
win2k), I was able to search (and find) myself and a
coworker in the find/add user dialog. I could also
successfully send a message to both me and my
coworker.

However, neither my coworker nor me (using "net send
<my computer name>" from the command prompt)
could send any messages to me. All I got was:

MIRANDA:~>net send miranda "foo"
An error occurred while sending a message to
MIRANDA.

The message alias could not be found on the network.

More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2273.

(incidentially, my computer is named "miranda". (and
no, that was before I discovered the IM program :)).

The same result occurs when I try to send to my login
name.

This unfortunately makes this plugin unusable to me. :-(
I'm a bit disappointed since it seemed like a very good
idea otherwise. (I use "net send <myself>" in long-
running scripts to notify myself that the script is
finished...)

Causes BSOD on my w2k

I'm running:

w2k sp2; Miranda 1.2.2 alpha Built Nov 17 2002
18:56:56; net_send_protocol 0022

Messenger service is disabled.

I can send messages to myself, as well as to
others on the LAN. The plugin fails to receive
messages from others.

When someone tries to send a message

netstat -a shows about 10 connection from the
remote PC and nothing happens.

After some time all tcp/ip connections on the 2k
start to fail with a message about a full I/O
buffer, and finaly the OS crashes (BSOD).

BTW others on the LAN do not have that
problem.

cheers,

Something like:

C:>net send * bla-bla

Keep up the good work! :)

A few bugs :(

1. It seems like this plugin hangs at times
so the computer
where it's happenned
becomes offline for others
After
changing status to offline and online
everything is ok
2.
Sometimes it crashes miranda on closing.
3. Statuses are
changed after long time and not always correct.

But I think if
anybody can make possibility to send messages pier-to-pier, not
through the server, it would be much better

net_send_protocol

Plugin does not working at all.
When I send mesages it looks like ok, I can see my
messages in history box.

Multiple domains

Hi!

On network with several domains, 3 in my case, the
plugin is not working.

Messages are not received. Error occurs:

"An error occurred while sending a message to WS-
SYSADMIN1.
A general network error occurred.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2136."

Also messages can not be send.

Maybe the problem is that your plugin uses only first
domain, which in my case is useless. I want to browse
and send/receive messages from the second domain.
Or maybe I'm wrong :P

Any ideas?
