Post the LST and ASM source. At the moment - no idea. The PC software you are using? How old? It must be the old buggy version.

Hi there, I'm trying to modify the bootloader to work on RS485 for PIC18F13K22. I originally confirmed my setup of the bootloader and application code (toggle a pin) works over RS232 before modifying the bootloader firmware for RS485. Currently, the check device works and the bootloader GUI is communicating with the PIC: Check Device... As MPASM no longer supports the new Microchip PICs there was a need to create a new solution that uses the Microchip PIC-AS compiler. This mega task has been completed - Microchip have helped as there were many issues with using PIC-AS including case sensitive, priorities of calculation, new register.bit naming and HEF/SAF memory. After many months of work I have completed the project and I will now provide new bootloaders using PIC-AS (rather than MPASM). This year I will move the production of...

Maybe later this week. I am truly working on this with Microchip. The program in terms of the source is complete by for the Q10 I cannot use MPASM and therefore I must use PIC-AS ( the latest tool for these chips). I have an engineer allocated to help me this week and as I write this I writing up the technical specification of TBL+ for the engineer. So, check back next week.

Hi Anobium, Have you written any bootloader support for the 18F series? Specifically the 18F16Q40? Thanks!

  • Anobium Anobium posted a comment on discussion Ask for Help

Yes. Drop me a PM to sort a build for you.

Is it possible to get the bootloader on baud rate of 9600 and 115200? I have tried working out how to get edit the hex but unsure what bit it would be.

thanks a lot, file edited with gq-4x mcumall interface i haven't found how to do that with Mplab IPE

  • Anobium Anobium posted a comment on discussion Requests

He is the original adapted with PPL, CPD and CP set. All edited in IPE and the exported.

  • Anobium Anobium posted a comment on discussion Requests

I not sure how you edited but the original file loads as expected but you adapted files is broken. Load your adapted file into IPE (fails) then load the originbal file (works ok) Loading code from C:\Users\admin\Downloads\mods read off tmbl16f1nnnnfamily15_v106.hex... file is not like yesterady it seem ok opened it again. But i do not understand why is really big your boot code stop here 103FF000 and the dump continu until 10DFF000 I all way the config page from gq-4x does not report the same value as your report like PLL and LVP

  • Moi Moi posted a comment on discussion Requests

ok i have see the tool "mplab ipe" i will try that, thanks a gain

  • Anobium Anobium posted a comment on discussion Requests

Upload the orginal and modified hex. Let me have a look

  • Moi Moi posted a comment on discussion Requests

but it seem my programers gq-4x usb does not set the bit correctly and trying to save the modified config the saved file will be broken (garbage like only a line FFFFFFFFFFF

  • Anobium Anobium posted a comment on discussion Requests

I would simply load into IPE, edit the config to suit, and, save. This is the easiest method.

  • Moi Moi posted a comment on discussion Requests

Hello It seem to work fine, many thanks !! Can i ask a version with CPD_ON & CP_ON also _PLLEN_ON Really cool to use a working bootloader another thanks

Great. The LF is no different. Send me a PM or to my email (see https://www.pickitplus.co.uk/Typesetter/index.php/About-Us). I am thinking web server. I may get time to work on it early next year.

  • David Brooks David Brooks posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Thanks for the quick reply! The only change I can see is the part is a LF version. I think I can test it out with all the other settings. Very interested in the web enable. Will this be a website, or though an application? Thanks again

  • Anobium Anobium posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Thank you. See the PDF. What needs to be changed? So, you are aware I have re-written this is Great Cow BASIC and I still plan to web enable this to make this automated. Let me know what changes are needed. Please ignore the config as you can edit at your end with ease.

Hi, This is really awesome work you've put into this. I was looking for a PIC16LF18346 bootloader. Was wondering if you already have a precompiled version I could try? Thanks!

Hi, Do you think that including the PIC24FJ64GA202 in the list of supported device is possible. It has the benefit of 4xUARTs, 28pins PDIP, pickit3 support I took the the 64KB flash size as a sample in the series Thanks jean-michel
