Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Its cloud based with remote access anywhere (no need for client) Auto email functionality for all exceptions.
  • I love the customer service with this company. Tom walked me through the basics before the sale. His integrity is obvious. Aleyda is actually the best support person I have ever known. She is patient and professional and knowledgeable of her product. I really like the take over my computer option that Tom programmed in. I am tech challenged and was so easy for Aleyda to walk me through as she was on the actual page I was on.
  • I liked how easy it was to convert the data from my old system. I like the being able to log in from an app on my cellphone and I like being able to login from any computer. The support staff is excellent.
  • The program is easy and efficient to use, so ringing invoices and sending receipts to clients is a smooth process. It's also easy to reference and review client's purchase history, resend and/or reprint old invoices. The inventory management operation is well designed and multi-functional, which is a plus for all aspects of sales and distribution.
  • Lightning Online POS has enabled our business to run in a more efficient manner. We could not operate without the customer service which is available to us at any time of day. They are pleasant, professional and nice to work with.

Cons

  • Sometimes there are issues with CC and it is difficult to pin point if the issues are related to the system or CC integration.
  • There is absolutely nothing I did not like about this company. From setting up hardware to helping me learn the program, their professionalism has set a high bar for any other company. They always answer the phone!!!! I get to talk to a real person.
  • Relies too heavily on the internet. Sometimes the bottle counts are off. Sales go through but the items are not removed from inventory.
  • The program does not have a ship manager program, which would be beneficial to my company.
  • Credit card processing glitches occur from time to time but they address them and it is getting better.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • App interface is aesthetically pleasing, reporting was descent. Backend was decently easy to navigate
  • The sale Screen and the Reporting is nice and thats about all I have to say about this system's "pros".
  • This system is relatively easy to use with some very nice features which is what made me choose them in the first place. It is an excellent system for helping with inventory management. The ecom side is also fairly easy to pick up and manage.
  • Flexibility and ease of use. Responsive customer service. Basic software provides more-than-adequate reporting.
  • The ease of getting help when needed. The support options are readily available and the response time is above average.

Cons

  • Customer support was the worst. The absolute worst account managers. Never could get answers when we needed them. Constant tax form mistakes that have costed us loads of money to fix with IRS & CPA. Slow & outdated. You can tell that it’s made by someone who has never actually worked in a restaurant.
  • Customer Service has no idea how their software works and every time I message in the chatbox, call in, or email in I will always get different answers and some people will say we don't do that and some people will say "yes we do that" and then close you service ticket the next day. Pricing went up for both the plan and our CC rates after only 8 months even though we were told they would not hike up rates. decent software but a TERRIBLE team. also your "account manager" is a glorified salesman who does not actually help you with anything, I wanted to change my plan options around and I was told to just do it on the website. Upon entering this review I noticed that ALL the positive reviews are from prior to 2023.
  • Be prepared to wait 45 mins to and hour on hold for customer service. Then get pawned off on your account manager. Its been 4 days since I emailed mine and nothing. Emailed again today and now she is out until Tuesday. Currently been waiting 55 mins and 12 seconds for customer service again.
  • Internet based. Cannot record any sales without internet.
  • The reports section is not as customizable as I'd prefer.
