About This Game

THERE IS NO CLEAN START

NO CLEAN START is a single-player survival horror FPS about entering a facility that was never truly brought back under control.

You are sent in to restore systems, contain threats, recover what you can, and find a way deeper underground.

The facility is dark, unstable and hostile. Power is unreliable. Resources are limited. Some doors should probably stay closed.

And when things go wrong, you go back in.

ENTER THE FACILITY

Each expedition takes you through a sequence of compact, interconnected sectors with different objectives, threats and conditions.

Restore power. Override security systems. Search restricted areas. Find keys, weapons and supplies. Decide when to fight, when to conserve ammunition, and when darkness might actually be safer than light.

There is no single clean route through the facility.

SURVIVE WITH WHAT YOU FIND

Weapons, ammunition and medical supplies are limited.

Enemies react to sound and light. Gunfire can solve an immediate problem while creating another one. Darkness can hide you — but it also hides what is waiting ahead.

Kick enemies off balance, knock them to the ground and finish them before they can recover. Use the environment, manage your equipment and make every resource count.

ADAPT

Failure is part of the expedition.

A failed attempt does not erase what you have learned. Routes become familiar. Systems start to make sense. You learn which risks are worth taking, what to carry, what to leave behind and when to change your approach.

No Clean Start is built around repetition, adaptation and player knowledge rather than constant hand-holding.

The game gives you the information you need — but it does not always give you the answer.

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

The facility does not exist simply as a corridor between combat encounters.

Power states, security systems, environmental hazards, enemy behavior and unexpected events can change how a sector plays.

Sometimes restoring the lights is progress.

Sometimes it is a mistake.

CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT

NO CLEAN START is currently in active development, and the Steam Playtest is live.

The Playtest is an early look at the game and an opportunity to help us test its systems, balance and direction while development continues.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

NO CLEAN START contains mature themes and scenes of realistic violence.

Players may encounter depictions of death, injured bodies, and hostile situations in a dark and oppressive environment. The game includes psychological horror elements designed to create tension, fear, and emotional discomfort.

There is no sexual content or explicit sexual violence. The experience focuses on atmosphere, survival, and psychological stress rather than graphic gore or shock value.

Some players may find the themes of failure, isolation, and repeated death distressing.
