The same visible symptom, someone underperforming, can have two entirely different causes, and most managers reach for discipline first regardless of which one they are looking at. A performance problem means the person can do it and isn't. A readiness gap means they haven't yet been given what they need to do it. Discipline aimed at a readiness gap doesn't just fail to fix it, it creates a written record that says the wrong thing about the person, permanently. Before the conversation, the diagnosis has to come first. Walkthrough: www.veritas.management #Governance #Leadership #PrimiCentum

Primi Centum by Veritas helps organisations govern the first 100 days after hiring, promotion, transfer, or role change.
About us
Primi Centum by Veritas Management helps organisations turn new hires into productive, culturally aligned performers within their first 100 days. Most organisations invest heavily in recruitment and almost nothing in what happens next. New hires arrive. Expectations vary. Managers improvise. Productivity is delayed. Retention suffers. Veritas Primi Centum transforms the first 100 days into a structured, measurable journey. The platform converts company standards, customer conversations, operational knowledge, role expectations and performance requirements into guided learning pathways, practice scenarios, readiness checks, manager milestones and performance checkpoints. From Day 1 to Day 100, organisations gain visibility into progress, identify readiness gaps earlier, reduce repeated coaching and create a more consistent route from onboarding to contribution. Veritas Primi Centum helps organisations accelerate productivity, strengthen retention and improve performance at scale. Every audit so far has asked whether readiness is being managed, by a manager, for one hire. This one asks a different question: 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬. You didn't delegate readiness. You delegated knowing about it, and nobody signed up for that one. Full audit in the document below. Every manager tracks their own hires' readiness. That part is handled. But it reaches leadership as a status, not a number. Full audit, tomorrow. #WorkforceReadiness #COO #Governance #Leadership #PrimiCentum

By January 1915, Endurance was held fast in the Weddell Sea ice. Shackleton understood the conditions as well as anyone could: the drift, the season, what the pack might do next. What no chart could tell him was how each of his men was holding up. That he could only learn by being among them, through the long months on the ice, seeing it for himself. Organisations have their own version of the chart. Plans, timelines, completion reports. They describe the environment people are working in. They say much less about whether the people inside it are ready, and that second kind of knowledge doesn't travel well through reports. A leader can hand the work of readiness to managers. Knowing where it actually stands still has to be arranged. Walkthrough: www.veritas.management #Leadership #Governance #PrimiCentum

A fully-staffed team can be operationally unready, and most reporting can't tell the difference. Headcount gets counted because it's easy. Readiness gets assumed because it's hard, and the easy number quietly stands in for the hard one in every resourcing conversation. "Full strength" has always been a staffing claim. It has never been a readiness claim. Treating them as the same number is how a team can be fully staffed and still fail. The checklist closing is not the end of onboarding. It is the end of your visibility into it. Everything that decides the outcome happens after that point: the first correction, the first real deliverable, the first time nobody was watching. Those weeks are where readiness is either built or quietly abandoned, and they are usually the weeks with no owner and no record. A standard that stops at completion is not a standard. It is a receipt. Walkthrough: www.veritas.management #Governance #Onboarding #Leadership

Would your last hire's manager pass this, right now, without checking with anyone? Score one point per answer backed by evidence. Six or seven and readiness is being deliberately established. Two or fewer and it's being assumed, the same assumption a start date makes and a sequenced plan corrects. Full audit, all ten pages, in the document below. Leaders still talk about their first hundred days. The phrase comes from 1815, from a period nobody planned as a hundred-day programme. Napoleon reached Paris in March. By late June, after Waterloo, he had abdicated. The span was only given its name once it was over, when it was clear how much had been settled inside it. That is the part worth noticing for anyone starting a role or taking on a team. An opening window rarely feels decisive while it is happening. It becomes decisive in hindsight, when the habits, relationships and expectations formed early turn out to be the ones that held. A first hundred days is easier to manage when it is treated as decisive in advance, rather than discovered to have been decisive afterwards. A start date gets recorded the moment someone walks in. It proves exactly one thing: attendance. It says nothing about whether they can do the role. That's a separate question, and it doesn't answer itself. The date is a matter of record. Readiness is a matter of judgement: were expectations clear, did support happen, was evidence reviewed, can this person perform.
