Seniority doesn’t mean having all the answers. In this clip from our webinar on Integrated Coaching Skills in the Workplace, executive coach Rosie Compton reflects on her work with senior leaders. Even at the highest levels, leaders can feel stuck. They may be carrying significant responsibility while still questioning who they are as a leader - and who they want to be. One of the questions Rosie asks is simple: “What matters to you as a leader?” It’s a question that gets to the heart of leadership values. What do you want to stand for? What matters in the way you lead others? And where might you need to give yourself permission to lead differently? Coaching skills create the space for those questions to be explored - not by giving people the answers, but by helping them find clarity in their own. Because effective leadership doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. Sometimes, the most powerful shift is becoming comfortable with being a different kind of leader. We love to see the positive experience our delegates have with our National Certificate in Coaching Skills programme. Explore the 5 day accredited course in more detail here: https://lnkd.in/ebhKQQC6 And get in touch to share more on your context and arrange in-house delivery for your teams.
There’s nothing better than hearing that a programme has made an immediate difference in someone’s day-to-day work. Rosanna Leigh, Head of Talent at Inditex, recently joined the latest cohort of our National Certificate in Coaching Skills Level 3, accredited by OCN and delivered by Polly Walker. Rosie gave the programme a five-star review on Trustpilot, highlighting something that sits right at the heart of this course: the coaching skills are practical, relevant and can be applied straight away in the workplace. Our five-day intensive coaching programme is designed for leaders, managers and people at all levels who want to communicate more effectively, have better conversations and bring a stronger coaching approach into everyday working life. Because coaching skills shouldn’t just sit inside formal coaching sessions. They can change the way leaders lead, the way managers support their teams, the way difficult conversations are handled, and the way people communicate across an organisation. If you’d like to explore how we can build practical coaching skills into the day-to-day work of your leadership teams, middle managers or wider organisation, get in touch: Lily.Driver-Thurston@thetcmgroup.com The TCM Group | Putting People First™️David Liddle #CoachingSkills #LeadershipDevelopment #ManagerDevelopment #WorkplaceCoaching #Communication #LearningAndDevelopment

What if you want to build a coaching culture in your organisation… but not everyone is convinced? That was one of the questions that came up in our webinar this week on The Integrated Coaching System - our approach to building coaching skills not simply as something reserved for formal coaching conversations, but as an everyday organisational capability. Because one of the realities of culture change is that there can be resistance. Senior leaders may not immediately see the value. Teams may feel they do not have the time. The word 'coaching' itself may sometimes create assumptions about what is involved. So where do you start? One idea we explored was what Liz labelled as “ninja coaching”: introducing coaching skills and coaching-style communication into the everyday processes that already exist. You do not necessarily need to announce a major coaching initiative. You can begin with small changes. How we ask questions. How we run meetings. How we structure conversations. How we listen. How we invite people to think, rather than immediately giving them the answer. Even something as familiar as a meeting agenda can become an opportunity to build a more coaching-led culture. In this clip, Liz Jones, executive coach and facilitator, shares a simple example of how an agenda can be created in a coaching format - and why changing something so small can have a much bigger impact on the quality of conversation, ownership and thinking in a team. That, for me, is an important part of creating an integrated coaching system. Coaching capability is not built only through training people to become coaches. It is built when coaching skills start to become part of how the organisation works every day. It is to let people experience the difference that better conversations can make. If you’re a leader and you’re not an Integrative Coach, you’re already behind. The workplace has changed and the way we lead needs to change with it. In this video, David Liddle, CEO of The TCM Group, explores why coaching is no longer simply a useful leadership tool. It is becoming an essential capability for leaders and managers who want to communicate effectively, navigate complexity, build trust and help their people thrive. But this goes beyond learning a few coaching techniques. An integrated coaching system embeds coaching into the culture of an organisation - shaping how people lead, manage, communicate, resolve challenges and develop others every day. So what would happen if coaching became part of the way your organisation actually operates? If you want to explore how coaching can transform your organisation and its culture - and what it means to become an Integrative Coach within your organisation - 👉 Join us for our free webinar on Tuesday 22 September at 3pm. https://lnkd.in/eafvk3qP The TCM Group | Putting People First™️#coaching #integratedcoachingsystem #coachingstrategy #leadership David Liddle

As AI becomes part of everyday working life, how do we keep human judgement and accountability at the centre? This week, The People Leader brought together David Liddle, Rahim Hirji and Andrew J. Turner, with co-host Blue Edwards, to explore that question. For us at The TCM Group, the connection to workplace culture is clear: people need to feel able to question an AI-informed decision, challenge its assumptions and understand who takes responsibility. Explore three takeaways from the summit below, along with a practical action to try in your own organisation. The recording will be available soon. Subscribe to The People Leader to access it, and follow the page for future discussions and events. #ThePeopleLeader #WorkplaceCulture #AI
People-first. AI-enabled. What does that look like in practice? At this week’s AI Augmented Human Summit, David Liddle and Blue Edwards joined Rahim Hirji and Andrew J. Turner to explore how AI can strengthen human capability while keeping judgement and accountability firmly with people. A few ideas that stayed with us: • Rahim explored the risk of “drift”, where decisions gradually pass to algorithms without anyone explicitly deciding where human responsibility should remain. • Andrew highlighted that even when technology works as designed, decisions can fail if people misinterpret the output, don’t challenge it or aren’t clear about who is accountable. • David made the case for putting AI on the people-and-culture agenda, with people leaders helping shape strategy and workplaces where employees feel able to question decisions. Swipe through for the takeaways and a practical challenge: choose one AI-informed decision in your organisation. What needs to change, and who will take responsibility? Try that change over the next 30 days and share what you learn. Tag The People Leader or email events@thepeopleleader.com. We’d love to hear how you get on. Missed the summit? The recording will be available soon. Subscribe to The People Leader to access it. We’ll also share resources from Andrew and Rahim, and a white paper drawing on the discussion will be published through the People & Culture Institute (PCI). Turner: Predictable Volatility 📚 David Liddle: People and Culture, Transformational Culture and Managing Conflict Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the conversation.
