Day one of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the energy was real. Yesterday, Good Morning America (GMA) helped us kick off the month by featuring Dr. Alpa Patel and her findings on the gap between what women know about cancer risk and the habits that can help reduce it. GMA also helped us launch Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Corona Park, Queens. At our New York City Hope Lodge, CEO Shane Jacobson led a panel conversation with Dr. Patel and Dr. Shanthi Sivendran MD, MSCR, MBA, FASCO on how women can reduce their risk for cancer and it coming back. Awareness is the start. Action is the goal. Learn more: cancer.org/action
