What is your current fleet costing you? That was one of the key questions raised by ASUS Business's Mark Warburton during yesterday's Productivity Meets Performance panel at the Synnex Australia Digital Workplace Forum in Sydney. Too often, refresh cycle discussions focus on when devices should be replaced. Mark challenged attendees to reframe the conversation and instead consider what an ageing fleet is actually costing the business across its lifecycle. Beyond the initial purchase price, factors such as employee productivity, device reliability, downtime, support requirements and repair costs can all contribute to the total cost of ownership. Mark also highlighted the importance of selecting devices built for long-term value, with durability, repairability, after-sales support and performance all playing a role in helping organisations maximise their technology investment.
