The U.S. Treasury and IRS have announced proposed regulations for the new Education Freedom Tax Credit, which is scheduled to begin January 1, 2027. About us
STRIVING FOR SUCCESS ONE CHILD AT A TIME Mission: The Lutheran SGO of Indiana exists to raise funds from individuals and businesses to provide scholarship funds to all eligible students wanting to attend an Indiana Lutheran school. Vision: The Lutheran SGO of Indiana will ensure that all eligible families in Indiana have the opportunity to attend the Lutheran school of their choice. Our efforts will support enrollment growth and Christian outreach to families. Slogan: Making the dream of a Lutheran education a reality for Indiana families. The Lutheran schools in Indiana have worked for 175 years to make quality, Christ-centered education affordable and available. Today, principals and enrollment staff at non-public schools in Indiana succeed in that endeavor by maintaining annual budgets that consistently hold spending far below the levels at area public schools, through annual tuition-assistance fundraisers for scholarships, by growing endowments that specifically fund yearly tuition-assistance scholarships, and with unfunded scholarships for families without other options. The Indiana Choice Scholarship Program (aka “vouchers”) provides families with another way to send their children to The Lutheran Schools, and our schools are working diligently to help parents make an informed choice for their children. And now, The Lutheran Scholarship Granting Organization of Indiana is providing yet another way to attend The Lutheran Schools by providing families with funds to receive a high-quality, Christian education. With contributions to The Lutheran SGO of Indiana, donors can help fund scholarships—and receive a special state tax benefit.
