Updates

  • Google Analytics doesn't run a charity. When analytics is free, someone is still paying. Yes, there's no subscription. No invoice. Millions of data points processed for you at no cost. But running analytics at that scale costs real money. With Google Analytics, you're just not the one paying. The people visiting your website are. With their data. That's the trade “free” analytics makes easy to overlook. The price of free isn't always on your company card.

  • We just reached 21,000 paying subscribers, and without a sales team. No cold calls. No sales scripts. No one chasing leads. Instead, we’ve spent years writing about what we stand for: • Analytics that respects privacy • Analytics that doesn't require a degree to understand • Who Plausible is made for, but also stating explicitly: who it is not for • Why we stay subscriber-funded and so on. It gives people enough information to make up their own minds. They find us, understand what we stand for and decide if they want to pay for it. Sometimes, honest communication does all the selling.

  • Now you can see your revenue in funnels! See how many visitors completed a defined journey, how much revenue they generated, and the average revenue per visitor. Our goal: make sophisticated funnel analysis feel like normal web analytics.

  • After the redesign, Funnels have gotten another major upgrade: Earlier, you could only see funnels for a selected time range. Now, you can also compare them (each individual step) across different time ranges. Simply enable comparison in the date range selector, and see how funnels perform week over week, month over month, or any custom range. We hope you like it!

We redesigned Plausible Funnels. ✨ Before: simple bar graph with useful info at a glance. Now: ✓ more elegant ✓ easier to scan ✓ gives more useful info at a glance You see what percentage of visitors reached each step, how many continued, and how many dropped off. The gray area shows the drop-off visually, making each step easier to compare. Already available in your dashboards, try now and share your thoughts!

  • We improved our bot filtering over night so your stats won't get polluted. What's new? Bots have gotten smarter. They run real browsers, use residential IPs, and have become better at mimicing actual visitor behavior. We identified several new patterns like these and updated our filters. We already block ~2 billion bot visits every month. As bots evolve, our detection evolves with them. The goal is simple: keep bots out of your analytics without filtering out real visitors. ✔️ Our bot filtering is not limited to premium plans as it is a matter of principle for us ✔️ Happens automatically at the script level, no need to do any special settings
