What separates good organizations from ones that sustain excellence? At the #VizientNetworks CEO Meeting, leaders explored that question in the Roadmap to Top Performance sessions across three areas: 🔹Survey findings on the leadership practices and cultural characteristics that distinguish high-performing health systems from the rest. 🔹Panel with three healthcare leaders and their journeys around consequential choices that create and sustain meaningful change with Mohan Suntha, MD, (University of Maryland Medical System) Sabi Singh, MD, ( Moffitt Cancer Center) and Wade Johnson (St. Peter's Health). 🔹Drawing on nine studies spanning 20+ years, the key to sustained excellence is that it isn't a destination, but a capability leaders continually build. https://viz.inc/4hGPuvC Accelerate your path to top performance, connect with healthcare leaders driving sustainable excellence in quality, safety, equity, and patient experience ➡️ https://viz.inc/4rQYrG8

Healthcare is changing, and so is the role hospitals play in delivering care. In “Hospitals Reimagined,” a special report published in Newsweek, Vizient CEO Byron Jobe discusses the importance of designing care around patients—not departments, specialties or locations. With more routine care shifting to outpatient and home settings, hospitals are increasingly focusing on treating patients with more complex medical needs. This evolution is prompting health systems to rethink traditional care models according to how the future of patient care is shifting. https://viz.inc/3VtEpph

A patient may not remember every detail of their care, but they will remember who explained what was happening, who listened, and who made them feel seen. https://viz.inc/4icvTEr Those small moments of communication, empathy and presence can shape how patients and families experience care. At Main Line Health, that approach extends across the organization, including an ED Ambassador Program that helps patients and families navigate busy emergency departments while supporting care teams. Their system director of patient experience shares how they are putting human connection into practice ⤵️ https://viz.inc/4icvTEr

The NDC connects medication workflows across the health system, from purchasing and dispensing to billing and quality reporting. That’s why the 12-digit NDC code transition isn’t just a pharmacy challenge, it's a health system one. Still, it has yet to find its way into most C-suite conversations. With the March 7, 2033, transition approaching, health systems should begin preparing now for this FDA mandate. Early preparation gives organizations the flexibility to phase investments, spread costs across budget cycles, and reduce operational and patient safety risks.
