Mather_VolunteersDear Auxiliary Volunteers,

This has been a challenging time for everyone. To protect our patients, employees, volunteers and visitors from the pandemic, we needed to implement emergency protocols. Suspending the Auxiliary Volunteer program and closing the Thrift and Gift Shop were among the difficult but necessary steps we took.

While you can’t be here now, you are missed by everyone at Mather and are not forgotten. Your invaluable work in departments and on patient units throughout the hospital are important and always appreciated, and your fundraising efforts have contributed greatly to Mather’s growth over the years.

National Volunteer Week April 19-25 seems an appropriate time to let you know that we are thinking about you and hope you are well. We look forward to the end of this pandemic when we can all return to Mather and resume some semblance of normalcy, and that includes seeing you at the front desk, in the hallways, on the patient units, and in the Thrift and Gift Shops.

Be safe. Stay healthy.

Yours truly,

Keri Dunne
Director of Volunteer Services
