| Description: | Cecil Lytle will perform an ALL-LISZT program, in honor of the Hungarian composers upcoming bicentenary in 2011. Featured will be several of Liszt s late piano pieces that show his tendencies, towards the end of his life, to write music he felt was atonal, including the finger-busting Grand Galop Chromatique. Lytle will also perform the first book of Liszts epic travel pieces, Annee de Pelerinage (1852), the six Consolations, the haunting Four Forgotten Waltzes, and will conclude with the monumental tour de force, Scherzo and March. |
