Humanity Colors Icon Theme Now Available In 12 Colors

Humanity Colors, an icon theme pack designed by the Ravefinity Project which provides Humanity (the default Ubuntu icon theme) in various colors, was updated with 3 new colors along with other changes and bug fixes.

The guys behind the RAVEfinity project have released an updated Humanity Colors icon theme for Ubuntu 14.04 (and older), which work great with Ambiance and Radiance Colors GTK themes.

In an Ubuntu Developer Summit session today, Matthieu James (Graphic/Visual Designer at Canonical) presented the design guidelines as well as some of the work done to create a new icon theme for Ubuntu (both desktop and touch).

New PPA For Numix GTK And Icon Themes, More

Quick update for Numix fans: a new Numix PPA has been created and it hosts daily builds for Numix GTK theme, two Numix icon themes, a Plank theme and even a Numix wallpaper. More Numix related artwork will be added to this PPA in the future.

Furthermore, Numix GTK theme is now compatible with GTK 3.4 and Pantheon (it already supported GTK 3.6 and 3.8), meaning it should work properly in Ubuntu 12.04 and elementary OS 0.2 Luna.

Try The New LibreOffice Flat Icon Set

It looks like LibreOffice will get a new set of flat icons, based on Gnome's symbolic icons. The icon set isn't completed yet, but you can try it already - below you'll find instructions on how to easily try the new icons.

Get The Ubuntu Touch Feeling On The Unity Desktop With These Launcher Icons

New Unity Revamped PPA For Ubuntu 12.04 With Extra Tweaks

The popular Unity Revamped PPA has stopped working once again a while back, but there's a new PPA that adds the same features to Unity along with some extra ones such as the Unity Touch Launcher icons.



The new Unity Revamped PPA, maintained by Garhuy, is only available for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and adds the following features to Unity (with Compiz):
  • re-added Dodge Windows behavior;
  • minimize on click for Launcher items;
  • option to enable/disable the Workspace Switcher icon on the Launcher
  • Ubuntu Raring launcher assets (the new BFB icon - the button used to open Dash, workspace switcher, etc);
  • Ubuntu Touch Launcher icons.

Unity To Get New Shutdown Dialogs, Scroll To Switch Between Windows Feature [Video]

Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail: it looks like two interesting changes will land in Unity soon: support for switching between windows of the same application by scrolling on the application icon in the Unity Launcher and a new Unity style for shutdown dialog boxes.
