Stefan Gerber, our Chef-Pâtissier, has been named Pastry Chef of the Year 2027 by GaultMillau Schweiz. Since 2001, Stefan has led the pâtisserie at Badrutt's Palace Hotel St. Moritz Switzerland, combining the precision of a pâtissier with the attentiveness of a host. In its tribute, GaultMillau describes his vanilla mille-feuille, Saint-Honoré cakes and Kaiserschmarrn as “simply outstanding”, while also highlighting his dedication to fulfilling individual guest wishes. For us, this is a particularly meaningful occasion: an opportunity to celebrate a colleague who has devoted so much of his career to the Palace and whose sweet creations delight our guests day and night, from breakfast to our legendary late-night kitchen parties. Our sincere thanks to Urs Heller, Editor-in-Chief of GaultMillau Switzerland, and the entire GaultMillau team for recognising Stefan’s talent, craftsmanship and dedication. #PatissierOfTheYear #GaultMillau #BadruttsPalace

It has been a remarkable week for the team at Badrutt's Palace Hotel St. Moritz Switzerland. Just three days after being honoured at The 50 Best Hotels in Paris, we received more good news: Badrutt’s Palace has retained Three MICHELIN Keys for 2026. This is the MICHELIN Guide’s highest hotel distinction, awarded to just ten hotels in Switzerland and 155 worldwide this year. Three Keys recognise “an extraordinary stay”, a hotel worth making the journey for. The distinction considers the whole experience: architecture and design, character, quality and consistency of service, value, and the hotel’s contribution to its setting. MICHELIN’s inspectors travel anonymously and independently. For our team, knowing that their assessment comes from experiencing the hotel first-hand makes retaining this distinction particularly rewarding. Thank you to the MICHELIN Guide for recognising the Palace once again, and to our colleagues across every department for the work behind these Three Keys. #BadruttsPalace #MICHELINKeys #MICHELINGuide #StMoritz

50 hotels. One mountain and ski resort. Badrutt's Palace Hotel St. Moritz Switzerland is No. 36 in The 50 Best Hotels 2026, returning to the main list after our first inclusion in 2023, when we became the first hotel from the DACH region to be represented. This year, we are also the only Swiss hotel and the only mountain and ski resort in the Top 50. And Paris brought another very special recognition: the SeiBellissimi Art of Hospitality Award 2026, presented to one hotel each year. Thank you to the 50 Best organisers for a wonderful event in Paris, and to the voters who placed their trust in the Palace and its team. And thank you to our colleagues, both in front of our guests and behind the scenes. Neither recognition would be possible without you, especially one dedicated to hospitality. The hotel’s name is on it. The credit is yours. #50besthotels

Our history and setting may define the first impression. It is our people who bring Badrutt's Palace Hotel St. Moritz Switzerland to life. Thank you to Nadine C., The Stanza for recognising the pride, care and commitment of our team and for this thoughtful conversation with our Managing Director, Richard Leuenberger Read the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/eWBzt_5 #stmoritz #experience #team The Leading Hotels of the World St. Moritz Tourismus AG Swiss Deluxe Hotels
There is a unique magic at the Badrutt's Palace Hotel St. Moritz Switzerland, and it’s not because of the fact that it occupies trophy real estate in one of the most special places in the world (St. Moritz), or that its mythology is a product of its 130 year history. The magic of the Palace, as it is lovingly called, is a byproduct of the staff who collectively and genuinely take pride in their work. Under the leadership of Richard Leuenberger, the Palace employs nearly 700 people to operate 13 F&B outlets and163 keys during peak season. When I first met Richard, I could immediately tell that he innately understands hospitality and the art of taking care of others. Richard started in housekeeping at the Four Seasons George V, and has worked his way up through various hospitality functions in Europe, Asia, and the US. There is a Swiss precision to how he runs things at the Palace, which is almost required to manage one of the most logistically and operationally complex hotels I’ve come across in my career. Throughout the history of the Badrutt’s Palace, the hotel has remained family-owned and mostly independent, save for when Rosewood briefly managed the asset from 1999 - 2003. Today, Anikó Badrutt is the majority shareholder of the Badrutt’s Palace. Read the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/eWBzt_5S

We are delighted to see Cristina Iuculano named Sommelière of the Year 2026 in the prestigious BILANZ Wirtschaftsmagazin Hotel Ranking. As the first female sommelier in the history of Badrutt's Palace Hotel St. Moritz Switzerland, Cristina brings deep expertise, remarkable intuition and a genuine passion for wine to every guest encounter. Her ability to understand people and make wine both personal and accessible is what sets her apart. BILANZ captures this beautifully: “She has the gift of adapting sensitively to the level of knowledge of the person in front of her.” “We are very proud to have Cristina on our team. This recognition is richly deserved and reflects the passion and personality she brings to the Palace every day,” says Richard Leuenberger, Managing Director of Badrutt’s Palace. Congratulations, Cristina! https://lnkd.in/e_4_4xWC #BadruttsPalace #SommelierOfTheYear #BILANZ #Wine #Hospitality #StMoritz

Today, Badrutt’s Palace celebrates 130 years. On 29 July 1896, Caspar Badrutt officially opened the Palace Hotel in St. Moritz. Across five generations, the Badrutt family shaped the hotel with a pioneering spirit, continuous investment and the courage to introduce new ideas. Their contribution reached far beyond the Palace and helped shape St. Moritz into the destination it is today. For #130years, the Palace has continued to evolve without losing its character. But history alone does not make a hotel. People do. Generations of colleagues have brought the Palace to life, cared for our guests and created the stories that continue to be shared by families around the world. Today, we thank the Badrutt family for their vision, our colleagues past and present for their dedication and our guests for being part of our journey. We look forward to the next chapter with great confidence in the future. Happy 130th #Birthday to Badrutt’s Palace! 130 years of history and the legend continues. #BadruttsPalace #130Years #StMoritz Badrutt's Palace Hotel St. Moritz Switzerland The Leading Hotels of the World St. Moritz Tourismus AG
