Coding agents are already good at code. That was never the hard part. The hard part is knowing what the product is meant to do, where the edge cases are, and which old decisions still matter.

A repo alone can't tell them that. Neither can a folder full of stale markdown specs or abandoned Notion docs. Those files look authoritative right up until they send the agent in the wrong direction.
