What happens when AI accelerates every stage of a cyberattack? At GovWare 2026, Sygnia CEO Guy Segal explored that question in “AI-Accelerated Chaos,” tracing how an AI-assisted intrusion moved from initial access to widespread cloud compromise in just 72 hours. The session examined how AI can change the speed, scale, and complexity of modern attacks, and what security leaders can do to prepare. Visit Sygnia at Booth #N31 to meet our team, hear True Cyber Crime Stories from the front lines, and discuss your organization’s most pressing cybersecurity challenges #GovWare2026 #IncidentResponse #CyberResilience #AIsecurity #Sygnia

The number of incident response projects handled by Sygnia grew by approximately 40% in H1 2026 compared with H1 2025. To meet evolving threat actor challenges and help organizations defend against growing AI-based threats, we’re establishing new MDR Security Operations Center (SOC) hubs in Austin, Texas, and Singapore, and advancing our expert-led, AI-powered cybersecurity services platform. “Our goal is to help clients move faster while preserving what has always differentiated Sygnia: elite expertise, trusted client relationships, and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in the moments that matter most. Our goal is not to replace expert judgment with AI, but to amplify it across every part of the cyber lifecycle,” said Guy Segal, CEO of Sygnia. AI may not make cyber attackers dramatically more sophisticated overnight. But it is already making them much faster. We recently saw this firsthand during a Sygnia investigation. A threat actor moved from initial access to broad compromise of a complex cloud environment in approximately 72 hours. There was no novel malware and no zero-day exploit. Instead, the attacker used familiar techniques across cloud infrastructure, identities, source code, CI/CD pipelines, and applications. What stood out for me was the speed, coordination, and parallelism of the operation. Our investigation identified multiple indicators consistent with AI-assisted workflows being used to accelerate reconnaissance, generate and adapt tooling, manage credentials, and pursue multiple attack paths simultaneously. This is where AI changes the equation. Attackers do not need entirely new techniques to become more dangerous. If AI enables them to execute known techniques faster, across more surfaces, and with fewer human bottlenecks, the response window for defenders becomes dramatically smaller. AI will change cybersecurity. Its most immediate impact may come not from sophistication alone, but from speed and scale. #AI #Cybersecurity #IncidentResponse #CloudSecurity #ThreatDetection

This is your last chance to register for When IT Support Is the Attack: Defending Law Firms Against Silent Ransom Group (SRG), airing tomorrow. Join us to explore how SRG and similar social engineering extortion threats take advantage of your trust, compromise legitimate remote-access tools, and reach privileged identities to exploit your business and critical client data. Sygnia will share practical guidance on how law firms can limit their exposure to this growing threat and respond effectively. Attendees will learn how to: - Recognize IT-support impersonations and suspicious remote-access activity. - Strengthen verification procedures and control the use of remote-support tools. - Reduce the amount of client data accessible through a compromised identity. - Coordinate containment and response when an incident leads to data theft.
