Flood risk modelling for rural road resilience in Cambodia

We worked with the World Bank to develop and test a flood risk assessment methodology for rural road improvements in Cambodia. The study demonstrated how flood risk modelling can support more resilient infrastructure planning before construction begins.

Strengthening dam safety and flood resilience in Kazakhstan

Working with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and partners, we supported dam safety assessments and strategic action planning in Kazakhstan under a UNDP initiative supporting national water security priorities.

Enhancing emergency preparedness and response systems in South Sudan

We were commissioned by the World Bank to assess the emergency preparedness and response capacities of South Sudan. Using the World Bank’s Ready2Respond (R2R) Framework, the assignment identified priority actions and investments to strengthen EP&R systems in a highly complex, fragile context.

Community-centred flood risk planning in Burundi and the Republic of Congo

Working on behalf of the Global Center for Adaptation, we supported neighbourhood-scale flood risk planning in Burundi and the Republic of Congo, collaborating with communities and local authorities to strengthen risk-informed urban development in flood and erosion prone urban areas.

Strengthening multi-hazard emergency preparedness and response in Chad

Working on behalf of the World Bank, we supported a national assessment of emergency preparedness and response (EP&R) systems in the Republic of Chad, helping to strengthen climate-related disaster management.

Strengthening dam safety and flood risk management across Myanmar

Working in collaboration with Landell Mills and local partners from Myanmar’s Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department, we delivered three dam safety studies. We also explored multi-criteria optimisation of dam operation to reduce flood hazard while supporting economic development through irrigated agriculture and electricity generation.
