    EZAudio

    EZAudio

An iOS and macOS audio visualization framework

An iOS and macOS audio visualization framework built upon Core Audio useful for anyone doing real-time, low-latency audio processing and visualizations. I've designed six audio components and two interface components to allow you to immediately get your hands dirty recording, playing, and visualizing audio data. These components simply plug into each other and build on top of the high-performance, low-latency AudioUnits API and give you an easy to use API written in Objective-C instead of pure C. EZAudio was designed to work transparently across all iOS and OSX devices. This means one universal API whether you're building for Mac or iOS. For instance, under the hood an EZAudioPlot knows that it will subclass a UIView for iOS or an NSView for OSX and the EZMicrophone knows to build on top of the RemoteIO AudioUnit for iOS, but defaults to the system defaults for input and output for OSX.

    Agar

    Agar

    Cross Platform GUI Toolkit

Agar provides a base GUI framework and a standard set of widgets from which graphical applications can be built which run natively under X11, Windows, MacOS, SDL and others. It takes advantage of texture and GPU acceleration wherever available. Agar can also attach to an existing framebuffer, SDL or OpenGL context and operate as a self-contained window-manager. It includes a standard library of general-purpose widgets, and is also designed to be extended externally. New widgets can be implemented as part of an application or library. Complex user interface elements can be realized often in few lines of code. Agar is also extensible at the low-level. The low-level API is documented such that modular drivers can be written which enable Agar applications to work seamlessly under many platforms graphics systems without any change at the application level.

    AnimatedTransitionGallery

    AnimatedTransitionGallery

A gallery app of custom animated transitions for iOS

AnimatedTransitionGallery is an iOS demonstration application that collects many custom transitions between view controllers. The examples are built around the UIViewControllerAnimatedTransitioning protocol and related transition APIs. Its catalog includes line, ghost, brick, blur, dissolve, flash, page-curl, ripple, fade, bounce, cube, fold, portal, flip, zoom, and carousel effects. Several transitions use Core Image, while others rely on custom geometry and animation controllers. The gallery brings implementations from multiple open-source projects into one interface for direct visual comparison. Building the complete application requires initializing its Git submodules after cloning the repository. It is best suited to developers studying transition techniques or searching for animation patterns to adapt to their own interfaces.

    FastImageCache

    FastImageCache

iOS library for quickly displaying images while scrolling

Fast Image Cache is an efficient, persistent, and, above all, fast way to store and retrieve images in your iOS application. Part of any good iOS application's user experience is fast, smooth scrolling, and Fast Image Cache helps make this easier. A significant burden on performance for graphics-rich applications like Path is image loading. The traditional method of loading individual images from disk is just too slow, especially while scrolling. Fast Image Cache was created specifically to solve this problem. In order to understand how Fast Image Cache works, it's helpful to understand a typical scenario encountered by many applications that work with images. iOS applications, especially those in the social networking space, often have many images to display at once, such as user photos. The intuitive, traditional approach is to request image data from an API, process the original images to create the desired sizes and styles, and store these processed images on the device.

    JazzHands

    JazzHands

A simple keyframe-based animation framework for UIKit

Jazz Hands is a simple keyframe-based animation framework for UIKit. Animations can be controlled via gestures, scroll views, KVO, or ReactiveCocoa. Jazz Hands is used extensively in IF and DO by IFTTT for iPhone and iPad, most famously in the app intro. Open JazzHandsDemo.xcworkspace to see a simple demonstration of moving, scaling, fading, and transforming views in a scrolling app intro. To run the example project, clone the repo, and run pod install from the Example directory. Looking to incorporate Jazz Hands into your Swift project? Check out RazzleDazzle, our brand new scrolling keyframe animations library reimagined in Swift. As a bonus, because it's built on top of the animations library, you can even tell JazzHands that you'd like one of your views to show up on multiple pages while other views scroll past, with a single call to keepView:onPages. To see the new JazzHands 2.0 AutoLayout magic in action, check out the example project.

    Pop

    Pop

iOS and OS X animation library for physics-based interactions

Pop is an extensible animation engine for iOS, tvOS, and OS X. In addition to basic static animations, it supports spring and decay dynamic animations, making it useful for building realistic, physics-based interactions. The API allows quick integration with existing Objective-C or Swift codebases and enables the animation of any property on any object. It's a mature and well-tested framework that drives all the animations and transitions in Paper. By adding the project to your project and adding pop.embedded framework to the Embedded Binaries section on the General tab of your app's target, you can set up pop in seconds! The Pop interface is implemented as a category addition on NSObject. Any NSObject or subclass can be animated. There are four concrete animation types: spring, decay, basic and custom.
