  • I use FreeFileSync for small office clients who need a reliable local backup to an external drive or NAS without a subscription. The two-way comparison view matters most in practice: seeing exactly which files will be copied, updated, or deleted before anything runs prevents the usual sync surprises. Setting up a saved configuration for Documents and Pictures and running it on a schedule takes minutes, and the versioning option for deleted files has saved us more than once when a client removed the wrong folder. The interface is plain, but for a set-and-check backup routine it is dependable and clear about what it is doing.
  • GREAT piece of software. Fast and reliable! I use it many years with no issues.
