similar to other reviews,i was transferred to this company from halo connect (used to be datatel solutions)who are currently in liquidation, end of contract came and was subjected to a prolonged and aggressive sales pressure game, to sign a new contract. eventually signed for an internet package late 2024 whilst trying to juggle other things as id assumed that as long as the speed was as stated it would be just like a standard agreement. this came bundled with apparently normal inclusion of phone handsets (that i have never used, never asked for), signed in under 3 minutes as i was in a store when they were hounding me to sign them , 5 days later presented with a further contract for shire leasing that had never been mentioned to me, wasn't mentioned in the solutions order form or any of the calls id had to that point, and they refused to give me any proof to support that it was, had a long argument on the phone with the account guy martin ford, was told that if i didn't sign it i would be liable for the full contract term immediately to the tune of £3k - £4k, which i signed under economic duress due to threat of the large bill. All of this in spite of me telling them i have ADHD, cant process information easily under stress and needing communication to be done a certain way. Since 2024, service was up and down, speeds were terrible, router was awful cheap thing with the range of a gnats leg, issues with payment collections being duplicated and they added AI studio and other things to my bill with no consent from me, ombudsman case instructed them to remove and refund all charges for those addons. however connecting britain ignored ombudsman contact, never responded to a DSAR i submitted( in fact a staff member informed me on a call that his managers had stated they intended to ignore the dsar, likely because the call data etc proves the misselling of my contract), transferred me to Assured Solutions Communications who are just as bad , and continued taking 2 or 3 payments a month instead of one, since december 2025 i have 5 invoices for connecting Britain, and yet connecting britain took 14 payments for those invoices, and then summarily entered voluntary liquidation when HMRC tried to wind the company up. If you were a customer of Connecting britain and were transferred to ASC, i'd recommend you submit a formal DSAR request to ASC, to verify what information was supplied with your account to them.

The dress I received looked nothing like the pictures on the website. On top of that, the return process has been unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming. I was required to send an email providing multiple details about the dress, even though I had already supplied photos clearly showing that the dress was in perfect condition and still had its original tags attached. All the information was to be provided in one email, yet the process continued to drag on. Instead of simply processing my request for a full refund, customer service repeatedly tried to offer alternative solutions, such as store credit or a partial refund if I agreed to keep the dress. After three to four emails back and forth, it felt as though they were reluctant to accept the return, despite my request being clear from the beginning: I want to return the dress for a full refund. I understand that I need to pay for the return shipping, which I am happy to do. However, I was also informed that the original shipping fee would be deducted and that an additional restocking fee would apply. I could not find any clear information about this restocking fee on the website, which is extremely frustrating and feels misleading. Had the website provided clearer information about its return policy and the fees involved, I would never have placed an order in the first place. The dress was not as advertised, and the return process has turned an already disappointing purchase into an even worse experience. I would not recommend this store to anyone who values a straightforward, transparent, and fair returns process.
