Creators are billable, paid users in Jira Product Discovery who actively create and manage projects, ideas, fields, and views.

Contributors are free users who need an Atlassian account. They can contribute to discovery projects but don’t need all the permissions of creators. Users are contributors by default if they have product access to Jira or Jira Service Management.

For a full list of permissions, visit our product access documentation.

You can pay monthly subscriptions by credit card (MasterCard, Visa, or American Express) or PayPal.

For annual subscriptions, you can pay by credit card, bank transfer, ACH, mailed check, and Net-14 or Net-30 terms

For annual subscriptions, we’ll bill you for the tier most closely matching your creator count. Depending on the number of creators purchased, annual subscriptions may be a better value.

While you can use Jira Product Discovery by itself, integrations with the following Atlassian Cloud products are included in your subscription: Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.

Jira: Create new Jira epics and issues or link ideas to existing ones to visually track the delivery progress of ideas directly from Jira Product Discovery.

Goals: Connect ideas directly to Projects or Goals to associate them with organization-wide initiatives.

Jira Service Management: Add Jira Service Management requests as insights and ideas.

Confluence: Directly embed Jira Product Discovery roadmaps in Confluence strategy pages, or link customer notes and product specs to your Jira Product Discovery ideas for added context.

Jira Product Discovery is only available on Cloud, meaning we don’t offer Data Center options with your subscription.

Jira Product Discovery Premium is for organizations with multiple product teams, who need better roadmap visibility, consistent practices, and additional admin support to operate at scale.
