The numbers are making a strong case for the HBCU experience. A new national study found 70% of recent HBCU graduates are thriving, compared with 46% of Black adults nationwide. HBCU alumni also reported higher workplace engagement, with 46% engaged at work compared with 31% of U.S. workers overall. Conducted in partnership with Gallup, this report serves as the largest national assessment of recent Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) alumni, examining how HBCUs contribute to graduates’ career success, overall well being, and return on their educational investment.
