I had a blast at the Utah ATD conference. Somehow I managed to: 🎤 Speak in a breakout session on AI employee literacy, sharing some of the most impactful learning design I've done in my career 💡 Showcase how I use Lucid Software products to teach every day (showing off our newest AI features) 📋 Serve on the planning committee! 🤝 Co-design a brand-new exercise with Jen Crabb, CPTD & Taryn Nenow called "Netflection" (reflection + networking) 🎟️ Bring Jeff Batt's fabulous DreamCrusher prize giveaway app to Utah ATD. The song is still stuck in my head. Send help. 🏇 Teach live and in person again, with no notes on my screen and no quality-controlled lighting. Turns out I still remember how to do this. The keynotes were the real highlight. THE Megan Torrance taught us how to use Agile methods and how to seek the change. Scott Provence taught us about decision-making and heuristics, which I'm immediately applying to my work and my life. And then they BOTH showed up to my session and kept the conversation going about AI. What an honor! Huge thank-you to Kara Wight Burton for becoming a friend and pulling me into committee work. It's always fun to hang out! #UtahATD #LearningAndDevelopment #AILiteracy
You ran DreamCrusher like a pro! And sorry the song is catchy 😜
Sarah Jester you are SUCH a pleasure to work with! Nothing ruffles your feathers, every problem has a potential solution, and your "yes, and..." attitude makes it fun to collaborate with you! Your breakout session was awesome (I've already proposed a buildathon to my team), you and Taryn Nenow knocked the Netflection out of the park, and Dreamcrusher was a smash hit (thank you for being the MC)! I loved working with both of you amazing women to put this event together!!
It was so great to meet you in person Sarah! Thanks for the great convos between sessions, and I can’t wait to learn from the next talk of yours too!
Your session was amazing!! So good to hang out.
You truly are one of the most brilliant people I know. I learned SO MUCH from you and I’m gonna have to play with that Lucid tool!! You are such a joy to work with and I’m so glad we met at this conference last year!!
What a big week, Sarah. Congratulations! I'd love to hear more about that learning design and how you're thinking of AI literacy for employees when we next catch up.
