What Could $500 a Month in Dividends Require? Required capital changes with yield. Higher yield also needs closer risk and payout checks. A useful planning exercise: connect the idea to your own cash flow, available time and downside risk before acting. Would you choose a larger balance or more yield risk? Education only, not personal financial or tax advice. Investing involves risk; returns and dividends are not guaranteed. #DividendIncome #FinancialLiteracy

One of the most useful money concepts I learnt is also one of the simplest. It's called the Rule of 72. Take 72 and divide it by an assumed annual return. The answer gives you a rough estimate of how many years it could take for your money to double. At 8%, that's about nine years. The interesting part isn't the arithmetic. It's what the arithmetic reveals about time. Starting earlier gives compounding longer to work. That same principle also works in reverse when high-interest debt is accumulating. In my latest episode, I break down the Rule of 72 — what it can teach us about long-term investing and superannuation, and why consistency matters more than chasing the perfect moment. The Rule of 72 is an estimate, not a prediction. Returns aren't guaranteed, and real outcomes depend on fees, tax, inflation, market movements and individual circumstances. "School choice is one of the most studied education policy issues, especially considering its relatively short 30-year history. Looking at decades of data from dozens of states, we see a longer-term trend emerge that’s important for policymakers to consider as they look at creating or expanding these programs. States looking for a playbook on how to successfully grow school choice over time should start by examining Florida’s track record."
