EDUCATION & PROGRAMS
Studies bear out – students engaged in arts learning have higher GPAs, standardized test scores, and college-going rates as well as lower drop-out rates. These academic benefits are reaped by students regardless of socio-economic status. Yet, access to arts education for students of color is significantly lower than for their white peers. The Black Rep is working to fill that gap.
Support for our Education and Community Programs is provided by: AmeriCorps, the Boeing Charitable Fund, Dana Brown Charitable Trust, the Jordan Foundation, Mid-America Arts Alliance, Missouri Arts Council, Missouri Community Service Commission, PNC ArtsAlive, the Saigh Foundation, Tilles Foundation and the Trio Foundation.
