Mather leaders got together on August 24, 2023, for Mather’s first ever Leader Volunteer Day. The goal of this initiative was to build goodwill in the community and to foster teamwork and collaboration among our leaders.
Our volunteers got to choose one of two volunteer experiences for the big day. One group worked as volunteers with Habitat for Humanity where they helped make one Long Island family’s dream come true by helping build an affordable home in Mastic Beach. The other group volunteered for the day at Camp Pa-Qua Tuck in Center Moriches, which has a 70-year track record for making the dreams of individuals with disabilities a reality. Mather volunteers helped with lunch set up, cooking, kitchen clean up and meeting and greeting the campers.
Volunteers enjoyed a jam-packed, hardworking day with fellow colleagues as they collaborated with one another to give back to the community.
