As part of its ongoing efforts to raise the health and well-being of team members, Northwell Health will conduct its annual Workforce and Physician Engagement Survey December 7-20, 2021.
These surveys help us to assess what is working well and what needs improvement, and your voice is important. It’s a chance for you to share your opinion about the work environment, patient care, safety, teamwork, leadership, and much more. Feedback from employees and physicians helps make the organization an even better place to work. Responses to last year’s survey have led to improvements in employee wellness programs, communication, recognition of team members, and a revitalization of the Voyage to Excellence committees to allow for greater participation.
The survey, which takes only about 15 minutes to complete, can be accessed starting December 7 at www.northwell.edu/mySurvey or by scanning the QR code on time clock fliers and screensavers. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Results of the survey will be shared in 2022.
The survey is accessible on all web-enabled devices, including smart phones and tablets. Log in using your universal ID (i.e., alias in Outlook) or Medical License Number to significantly reduce the number of demographic questions that must be filled out. It also ensures that only Northwell Health team members take the survey, that each person only takes it once, and that responses are grouped with the correct teams’ responses.
Once the survey has been completed, Press Ganey maintains the responses associated with each account, but deletes your universal ID and Medical License Number as an identifier. Survey responses are confidential. Press Ganey does not break out results for work units with fewer than five completed surveys. In instances where fewer than five responses are received, the work unit results are “rolled up” into the next level of reports.
All regular-status team members (full-time, part-time, per-diem) at Northwell Health hired on or before September 16, 2021 are eligible to take the Workforce Survey. Physicians, both employed and voluntary, are eligible to take the Physician Engagement Survey.
The Workforce Engagement Survey will be available in English and Spanish. The Physician Engagement Survey will be available in English.
