Stacey Hartcorn, Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department since 2020, has been promoted to Director of Patient Care Services for the Emergency Department, effective Wednesday, August 16.

A graduate of Western Governors University for both her BSN and MSN, Stacey joined the Mather team in 2003 and held the position of a clinical ED nurse from 2003 to 2020 before being promoted in 2020 to Nurse Manager. In this role, she was a key member of the team helping to oversee the nursing operations in the Emergency Department.

Stacey also was the co-author for our Lantern Document leading to Mather receiving the Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award in 2022. The Lantern Award recognizes Emergency Departments that demonstrate exceptional and innovative performance in leadership, practice, education, advocacy, and research by incorporating evidence-based practice and innovation into emergency care. This reflects Stacey’s commitment to the Mather team and to quality, safety, and a healthy work environment.

In her new role as Director, Stacey will work collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure that safe, high-quality care is provide to patients and their family members. She will continue to work closely with the interdisciplinary team as we prepare for the opening of our new Emergency Department in 2025.

Stacey will begin to recruit for her successor and will continue to operate in a dual role until a new manager is hired.
