The Mather family is delighted to welcome two new neurologists, Dr. Shayna Yvonne Sanguinetti and Dr. Boris Chulpayev. Both physicians practice at Northwell Health Physician Partners at Port Jefferson.
Get to know the doctors:
Dr. Shayna Sanguinetti is a native of Brooklyn, NY. She received her undergraduate degree with the Macaulay Honors College at the City College of New York and completed her master’s degree in neuroscience at City College. She was part of the inaugural class of the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
Dr. Sanguinetti completed her internship and neurology residency at Hofstra/Northwell North Shore University Hospital serving as chief resident her final year and receiving an award for Excellence in Stroke Care. After graduation, she became a neurohospitalist at North Shore University Hospital and LIJ Medical Center and the Assistant Program Director for the residency program. She recently completed a fellowship in Headache Medicine at New York University Langone Health and returned to Northwell Health as a headache specialist and the Director of the Division of headache. Her goal is to spread awareness of headache conditions among underserved populations.
Dr. Boris Chulpayev received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, followed by his residency at the University of South Florida College of Medicine and his fellowships at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
