The Mather Auxiliary’s Thrift Shop has expanded its hours of operation to Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30am to 3pm.
The Thrift Shop had been closed due to the pandemic but reopened in July for just two days a week – Thursdays and Fridays.
Money raised by the Thrift Shop – along with revenue from the Gift Shop, Calendar Raffles, plant sales and other fundraisers – has allowed the Auxiliary to donate funds to the hospital for building expansions, equipment purchases, the renovation of the 2 South patient unit and, most recently, the new Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Despite the pandemic, the Auxiliary donated $140,000 to the hospital in 2020.
The shop features bargains on women’s and men’s clothing, glassware, linens, jewelry, bric-a-brac, books, DVD’s and more.
