Mather Thrift Shop gets a new look

After more than 50 years, it was time for a makeover. With new siding and trim, the Mather Auxiliary Thrift Shop reopened in January with a new look.

The Thrift Shop, which raises funds to support Mather Hospital, is operated by the Mather Auxiliary and offers gently used women’s, men’s and children’s’ clothing, glassware, housewares, bric-a-brac, jewelry, seasonal items and more at discount prices. Bargain hunters have been regulars at the shop since it opened its doors in 1972.

Funds raised by the shop support new equipment, hospital expansions and renovations, among other things..

The shop is located next door to the hospital on North Country Road and is open Tuesday-Saturday from 9am to 3pm.
