Weil Recruits London PE Partner to Strengthen European Platform

Weil, Gotshal & Manges is adding private equity partner Rebecca Ward to its London office after she spent more than four years at Freshfields.

Ward’s work includes guiding BP Plc. on the sale of a 65% stake in Castrol to Stonepeak Partners at a valuation of $10 billion, and guiding sponsors including CVC, TPG and BC Partners, according to Freshfield’s announcements. Prior to joining the Magic Circle firm, Ward was a lawyer at private equity-focused firm Dickson Minto for 17 years.
