The hourly minimum wage in Hayward, California, will rise to $18.39 from $17.79 for employers with at least 26 employees effective Jan. 1, 2027, according to an update on the city’s website.
Employers with 25 or fewer employees are subject to the state minimum wage, which will rise to $17.40 from $16.90 for 2027, according to the city’s official bulletin.
Employers must post the official bulletin where employees can easily read it. The bulletin is available in English, Spanish, and Chinese.
