Women spend an average of nine years of their lives in poor health. Those years often come when they are at the peak of their careers or raising families. At the times in women's lives when there are so many expectations placed on what they should deliver, there are far too few expectations for what the health system should deliver for them. It’s time for that to change. We’re highlighting six of our partners who are stepping up to fill the gaps from the reproductive years to midlife: Guttmacher Institute, National Partnership for Women & Families, Maternal And Family Health Services, Inc., Co-Impact, The Menopause Society, and Wellcome Leap. There is a better future for women's health care on the horizon. Learn how these organizations are helping us get there: https://lnkd.in/g-eExS-q
We have wanted to believe for so long that education creates change and support, but it really doesn't anymore. Teaching doctors about menopause is like blaming women for not being able to cover it up. The opioid crisis created the idea that our pain is fixable, when our pain is life giving and necessary. We didn't ask for this. We need to start supporting our relationship with pain again.
Pivotal Such an important conversation. Women’s health deserves far more attention, investment and innovation — especially during the years when so much of women’s lives and careers are being shaped. Thank you for highlighting the organisations working to close these gaps🤍
Thank you, Pivotal, and partners for this work. Mckenzie Gross-Kraus Charlotte Belshe-Powell

We’re so excited to partner with Pivotal to address the long-overlooked gap in women’s mental health 👏🏾 Together, we’ll scale proven approaches and support local organizations integrating mental health into maternal and primary care.
