Animation
For its 35th anniversary, Adobe asked Tremendousness to create a series of short animated films celebrating decades of innovation — from the earliest days of PostScript to the future of creative tools.
INSIGHT
Like many companies, Adobe started small — but with big ideas.
When John Warnock and Charles Geschke founded the company, named after a creek behind Warnock’s house, they could not have imagined they were creating a new creative ecosystem that would reshape entire industries entire industries. But they did. Today Adobe employs more than 15,000 people and generates billions in annual revenue.
They asked us to embody this history (and future) by creating visual stories for each of its flagship products. But there were constraints:
Just 30 seconds each. No voiceover. All visual.
Constraints force clarity.
Limits sharpen the story.
SOLUTION
We translated Adobe’s history into a series of concise visual stories, each centered on a key shift in its evolution.
From desktop to web to mobile. From tools to ecosystems.
Using illustration and motion alone, the films communicate complex ideas quickly and visually.
We developed the visual style, storyboards, and animations in close collaboration with Adobe’s communications and design teams, delivering seven finished videos within one month for the anniversary launch.
