Every year, the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) surveys nearly 1,000 Medical Reserve Corps units across the country — civilian volunteers who support community health infrastructure and disaster response. The data is rich. The story it tells about public health preparedness is important. Getting that story out of a spreadsheet and into the hands of people who need it is the hard part.

INSIGHT

An annual report is only as useful as it is readable. For an audience of local health officials, MRC unit leaders, and potential volunteers, dense tables and raw survey data weren’t going to drive engagement or action.

When a thousand units do important work quietly, someone has to make the noise.

SOLUTION

We work with NACCHO each year to transform survey findings into a designed report — featuring charts, volunteer photography, and infographics built for both print and digital distribution. Over the years the work has expanded to include interactive experiences and video, giving MRC chapters tools to engage their communities and attract new volunteers.

We’ve been doing this together for more than a decade. The relationship began with a competitive RFP response and has grown into an ongoing creative partnership — one that has helped NACCHO continually evolve how it communicates the reach and impact of one of the country’s most important volunteer networks.
